If the hinge and jamb are painted cut the paint around the leaf with a utility knife swing the leaf away from the jamb.
Replace door hinge screws.
The best way to beef them up is to replace the standard 3 4 in.
Fix it the right way not the wrong way.
The wrong way is a temporary fix not cool.
Give the hole time to dry before you replace the screws and hinge.
Turn the new hinge with the head of the pin turned up.
Remove the screws for one of the hinges on both the door and the frame.
Hinge screws with at least two 3 in.
Put the hinge in place and install the screws.
If the door has a large hinge with four screw holes just drive 3 in.
With a screwdriver put the rest of the screws into the hinge and the holes.
Screws that go through the jambs and solidly anchor into the framing.
You unscrew the hinge screws from both the door jam and door.
Then bore out the stripped holes with a 3 8 inch diameter bit.
Screws straight through the two holes toward the center of the door.
