R32 Driver Door Handle Wont Open

The drivers door won t lock using the key fob but if i use the blade it will lock fine.

If i lock then car using key fob and open the door the alarm goes off. If nothing happens when you turn the knob it s usually because the set screw holding the knob to the rod has worked itself loose. Hi i have a problem with my mk5 r32. Now the driver side door won t open from outside the car.

If you need to get in just push in on the door a little and pull the handle at the same time. If the bolt moves but not enough to allow the door to open the. If i am inside the car it will open but nothing from the outside. Believe me i looked for days wh. I tried taking the plastic piece off of handle and using the plastic key from the fob but it didnt work. I am still collecting. Replace the door handle and problem solved or you can pull the door apart which you will have to do anyways and clean it.

So i think the other day that while i was unlocking my car doors i started pulling on the handle as i was unlocking the doors. If not then take the inside handle off and just pull the actual cable. When i go to open from the outside everything unlocks but the driver door won t open. Though that is just a temp fix it will return at the most inopportune time.

To be fair if its a cable problem then the handle from the inside outside will just flap around. No where will you find this information on the web. I tested the switches in the handle it self. It won t open no matter what i do less the key and inner handle.
